Owelle and we have been invited by NTS resident Margarita to share an hour each of ambient music on their show “Don’t Trip”. “Don’t Trip”; Somewhere between banging your head against a brick wall and holding your breath under water.
Some of you may know Owelle for the teeth-grinding broken beats that drive her machine-led live performances, or perhaps for her toe-curling DJ sets—where eclecticism meets heavy-duty rhythms, fuelling some of Geneva’s wildest nights. For this mix, however, she unveils a quieter, more introspective side—one perhaps lesser known, yet ever present in her fascination with texture and melody. A tender process of sound, sculpted for waking or drifting, for contemplating the mysticism of perception, the blurring of reality, and the gentle unknown of life itself.
As for us, we will be offering soft, soothing, novocaine-like sounds, drawn solely from Helvetia—pieces we have released, championed or uncovered over the years, fitting for a descent into the deepest valleys or an ascent to the highest peaks.
